What does the Icons tour include?

How long do we spend at Lake Louise and Moraine Lake?
Roughly 45 minutes to 1 hour at each lake, which is the sweet spot. Enough to really take it in, explore the shoreline, get your photos, and not feel rushed. Your guide will time it to make sure you’re at each lake when the light and crowd levels are best.
What's included with dinner at Sudden Sally?
Dinner is at Sudden Sally at Hotel Canoe & Suites in Banff. Choose one of five entrées: smashed double cheeseburger, seared tuna poké (gluten-friendly), crispy chicken cordon bleu sandwich, tempura green bean tacos (gluten-friendly, plant-based), or pan-seared organic salmon (gluten-friendly). A pop, coffee, or tea is included; additional drinks are available at your own cost.
Can dietary restrictions and allergies be accommodated at dinner?
Yes. The menu includes gluten-friendly and plant-based options, and vegan, dairy-free, and most allergy accommodations are available with advance notice. Please let us know about severe allergies or dietary requirements at least 72 hours before your tour. Food is prepared in a shared kitchen, so an allergen-free environment can’t be guaranteed.
How physically demanding is this tour?
This one’s an easy day. You’ll do some light walking on uneven ground at each lake, nothing strenuous, but a reasonable level of mobility makes it more comfortable. If you can handle a gentle stroll, you’ll be more than fine.
Is this tour a good fit for seniors or guests with limited mobility?
Yes, this is one of our easiest days, and there’s no upper age limit. Walking is light, on uneven ground at each lake, and you can stay close to the vehicle at any stop if you’d rather take it in from there. The gondola does the climbing up Sulphur Mountain, and at the top you can enjoy the views from the upper terminal or explore the summit boardwalk, which includes stairs. Our tours aren’t wheelchair accessible, so if you use a mobility aid, contact us before booking and we’ll tell you honestly what’s manageable.
Is this tour suitable for families with young children?
Kids 8 and up are totally welcome and usually love it. The lakes are genuinely jaw-dropping and the guides are great at keeping it engaging. For families with kids under 8, a private tour is the better call since you can set the pace.
How long is the Icons tour?
About 9 hours, start to finish. A full day built to cover the best of Banff without rushing a single stop, so you leave feeling like you actually did it all. Exact times are confirmed when you book and vary slightly by pickup location and time of year.
Is the National Park Pass included?
It’s not included, so you’ll want to sort that out before the tour. You can grab one at the park gate, the visitor centre in Banff, or online at pc.gc.ca.
Can I canoe at Moraine Lake or Lake Louise?
Not on this tour. The afternoon moves at a relaxed pace, but it doesn’t leave enough time to get out on the water and still do both lakes justice. If canoeing is on your list, we’d point you to our Best of Banff National Park Adventure instead. It’s a full eight-hour day with plenty of room to paddle the glacier-fed water and soak in everything else, unhurried.
Where do you pick guests up for the Icons tour?
We pick up from select hotels across Banff, including the Train Station, Canalta Lodge, Caribou Lodge, Moose Hotel, Rimrock Resort, Fairmont Banff, and Peaks Hotel. You’ll see the full list at checkout, so just pick yours and you’re set.
Can I drive to Moraine Lake?
No. Moraine Lake Road is closed to personal vehicles year-round. In season (June to mid-October), the only ways in are the Parks Canada shuttle from the Lake Louise Lakeshore lot (reservations required), Roam Transit, cycling, or a tour with a licensed operator like us. This tour includes pickup from select Banff hotels, so there’s no shuttle to book or parking to find.
What's your cancellation policy?
Nice and stress free. As long as you contact us by email or phone at least 24 hours before your booking start time, you can cancel or make changes without any penalty at all. Easy as that.
