Yukon Summer: Light that Never Ends

This is a journey through one of the last places on earth where the land still sets the pace, and where the stories of the people who have called it home for thousands of years are still very much alive.
We start in Whitehorse, where the Yukon River bends through a city that feels like a frontier town that got just comfortable enough. From there we head south through the turquoise Southern Lakes to Carcross, then west into Kluane country — a UNESCO World Heritage wilderness of glaciers, icefields, and mountains that most people never see, because most people never make it this far. We hike the ridgelines and stand where the Alaska Highway was born. Then comes the road north to Dawson City, the rowdy gold-rush heart of the territory, where the streets are still unpaved and the nights are still long. We end in Tombstone Territorial Park, the jagged granite peaks that give the Yukon its most dramatic skyline, before a short flight back to Whitehorse.
This is a soft adventure tour — there are real hikes, long scenic drives, and days that will leave you pleasantly worn out. But there are no tents, no freeze-dried meals, and no suffering. Just genuinely wild places, genuinely good food on the nights that matter, and a small group of people who will feel like old friends.

FAQs
How much is my deposit and is it refundable?
The deposit for this tour is $500 CAD (or equivalent) per person. Your deposit is refundable for 24 hours after booking. After that, there is a $100 per person transfer fee that applies to changes you want to make to your tour (ie. to change the tour date or to choose a different tour). Transfers are possible until the final payment deadline, unless otherwise specified. Of course, if Radventures cannot confirm your tour by the final payment deadline, your deposit can be refunded or transferred to another tour free of charge.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes! We would definitely recommend an “All Inclusive” policy that covers you for both medical expenses as well as any trip cancellation or interruptions. You can purchase this from our booking platform, “WeTravel”, or contact us for more information.
Can I add pre or post dates or just join for a portion of a tour?
At Radventures we pride ourselves on our flexibility. If you wan’t to enjoy more of this beautiful country before and after your time with us, we’d be more than happy to make any arrangements for you. As for being partly involved in a tour, whilst we can’t make any guarantees about whats possible or not, it’s best that you get in touch with us when you’re considering booking a tour or trip with us and let us know how you want things to work so we can see if we can make it work.
How far in advance do I need to book?
This is a tricky one. We don’t know when other people will book, so it’s hard to know if and when the tour will fill up. Our advice is to book as soon as you’ve made the decision to travel, that way you won’t be disappointed. Most of our service providers have a cutoff date of 2-3 months before departure that we need to advise them to release any excess space, and while we may be able to get these services back after the cutoff date it’s definitely safer to book early while we can still guarantee enough space for you.
What if I'm travelling solo?
You’re in great company! We have two options for solo travellers on our tours – you can join our share program to be matched with another rad solo traveller (of the same sex), or you can purchase the single supplement to have your own private room.
