Rocky Mountain Summer Wellness Experience

Five days is enough to feel different. This retreat is built around that idea: that the Rockies don’t need to be summited to do their work on you. You’ll stay at Everwild Nordic Spa & Hotel with access to the full thermal circuit whenever your body tells you it’s time. From there, you’ll move on glacial lakes, walk quietly through boreal forest with an Indigenous guide, practice yoga above Moraine Lake before most visitors finish breakfast, and close the trip with a dinner built from ingredients gathered in the hills around you. It’s the kind of five days that rearranges things. In a good way.

Highlights

Sunrise Yoga at Moraine Lake — Most people see Moraine Lake from a parking lot, later in the day, with a crowd. You won’t. We have reserved access at first light, when the Valley of the Ten Peaks catches the sunrise and the water is a shade of turquoise that doesn’t photograph well. A guided yoga session happens up on the rockpile. It’s as good as it sounds.

Paddleboard on Two Jack Lake — Two hours on still mountain water, peaks reflected back at you, forest on every side. Whether you’ve done this before or you haven’t, the session is relaxed and unhurried — a moving meditation more than a lesson. The packed lunch lakeside afterwards doesn’t hurt either.

Indigenous Medicine Walk — A Cree knowledge keeper leads us through the forest and meadow at Cascade Ponds in Banff National Park. The plants, the stories, the traditions that have been read into this land for millennia. Bush tea brewed from what we find along the way. One of those experiences that stays with people long after the trip ends.

Everwild Nordic Spa — Your home for four nights is also one of Alberta’s finest thermal wellness experiences, offering Aufguss sauna rituals, herbal steam lodge, cold plunge pools, and guided wellness ceremonies. Use your included entries whenever they feel right.

Itinerary

Canmore meets you peacefully: Three Sisters peaks above, Bow river below, the pace already different. Check in to Everwild, take a breath, and let the place start doing its thing.

Late afternoon, we gather at the Nordic Spa for a welcome ritual. a quiet moment to arrive properly, before the weekend begins.

Dinner this evening is at Everwild’s own Rhythm & Howl – seasonal, local, made to nourish your body and soul. Your guide sets the tone for the days ahead over warm food and easy conversation.

Morning yoga with the Three Sisters as your backdrop. The practice is somatic and restorative – designed to open the body after travel and bring you back to yourself.

From there we make our way to Two Jack Lake for a two-hour stand-up paddleboarding session. The reflections of the surrounding peaks on the still water are something photographs rarely do justice. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned paddler, the lesson is relaxed and unhurried, a moving meditation on the water. A packed lunch is enjoyed lakeside, with nothing but mountains, forest, and the sound of the lake around you.

The rest of the afternoon is yours. Canmore, Banff, the spa circuit – follow what your body asks for.

Evening closes with a paint night: nature-inspired, low-stakes, genuinely good fun. No artistic ability required. Expect imperfect brushstrokes and better-than-expected results.

Ten Peaks catches the sunrise in shades that seem improbable. Here, on the famous rockpile above the lake, we practise a guided sunrise yoga session. The stillness, the scale, and the light make this a moment that guests consistently describe as the highlight of the trip.

From there we head to Lake Louise – a guided walk along the lakeshore, with the Fairmont Chateau at the near end if you’d like to extend the morning with afternoon tea (optional, at your own cost).

As the light softens, we gather for a sound bath: singing bowls, resonant tones, guided breath. After a morning at that scale, it’s the right counterpoint. Most guests describe it as the deepest rest they’ve felt in years.

The most meaningful morning of the retreat. We drive to Cascade Ponds in Banff National Park for the Indigenous medicine walk – a Cree knowledge keeper leading us through forest and meadow, reading the land the way their ancestors taught them to. Medicinal plants, trees, flowers. Bush tea from what’s gathered along the way. You’ll leave with a different relationship to the ground you’ve been walking on all week.

The afternoon is yours. If you haven’t yet used your Everwild spa entry, this is the perfect day for it.

We gather one final time for a farewell dinner using locally sourced ingredients from one of our favourite and special dining experiences in the Rockies. It is, in every sense, the landscape on a plate. A fitting final chapter.

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Overnight: Canmore

Hotel: Everwild Nordic Spa & Hotel

Enjoy your final breakfast, take a quiet walk along the Bow River if you want it — one last look at the Three Sisters. Then the valley lets you go.

We hope you leave lighter, more present, with something of the Rockies carried quietly inside you.

The deposit for this tour is $500 CAD (or equivalent) per person. Your deposit is refundable for 24 hours after booking. After that, there is a $100 per person transfer fee that applies to changes you want to make to your tour (ie. to change the tour date or to choose a different tour). Transfers are possible until the final payment deadline, unless otherwise specified. Of course, if Radventures cannot confirm your tour by the final payment deadline, your deposit can be refunded or transferred to another tour free of charge.

Yes! We would definitely recommend an “All Inclusive” policy that covers you for both medical expenses as well as any trip cancellation or interruptions. You can purchase this from our booking platform, “WeTravel”, or contact us for more information.

At Radventures we pride ourselves on our flexibility. If you wan’t to enjoy more of this beautiful country before and after your time with us, we’d be more than happy to make any arrangements for you. As for being partly involved in a tour, whilst we can’t make any guarantees about whats possible or not, it’s best that you get in touch with us when you’re considering booking a tour or trip with us and let us know how you want things to work so we can see if we can make it work.

This is a tricky one. We don’t know when other people will book, so it’s hard to know if and when the tour will fill up. Our advice is to book as soon as you’ve made the decision to travel, that way you won’t be disappointed. Most of our service providers have a cutoff date of 2-3 months before departure that we need to advise them to release any excess space, and while we may be able to get these services back after the cutoff date it’s definitely safer to book early while we can still guarantee enough space for you.

You’re in great company! We have two options for solo travellers on our tours – you can join our share program to be matched with another rad solo traveller (of the same sex), or you can purchase the single supplement to have your own private room.
