The Rockies at their most still. You at your most present.

Catch Moraine Lake glowing under the last golden light, then make your way to Lake Louise as the Victoria Glacier catches the final rays of the day. Walk the shoreline as the crowds thin and the water settles into something almost unreal. Your guide knows the hidden viewpoints most people never find, the spots where the reflection is perfect and the silence is total. Then as the light fades, we slip into the Bow Valley Parkway at dusk, prime time for elk, deer, and bears with a 95% sighting rate May through October. One seamless evening that gives you the Rockies the way they actually are.

For adventurers seeking the stillness and tranquility the lakes keep for sunset.

FAQs

This one’s an easy day. You’ll do some light walking on uneven ground at each lake, nothing strenuous, but a reasonable level of mobility makes it more comfortable. If you can handle a gentle stroll, you’ll be more than fine.

Moraine Lake and Lake Louise in the late afternoon golden hour, when the crowds have mostly thinned out, the light turns soft and gorgeous, and wildlife is at its most active. It’s a completely different atmosphere from the sunrise tour, and in its own way just as beautiful. Perfect if early mornings aren’t your thing.

Departure times are built around golden hour, which shifts throughout the season, so your exact pickup time is confirmed at checkout. Generally speaking, you can expect an early to mid afternoon start.

Because of the timeline, hiking up to a tea house isn’t possible on this tour unless you decide to stay behind at Lake Louise and arrange your own transport back. If that’s something you’re considering, just let our team know and we’ll be happy to walk you through the return options.

Very different feel, same iconic lakes. The Sunrise tour is all about that dramatic pre dawn quiet and the magic of first light breaking over the peaks. The Sunset tour is warm, golden, relaxed, and rich with wildlife. Both are genuinely special, so it really comes down to what kind of day you’re after.

No, this one’s a half day tour, so a meal isn’t included. We’d suggest grabbing something in Banff before you head out, and feel free to bring along a few snacks if you think you’ll want them.

Absolutely. It’s suited to ages 8 and up, with a relaxed pace and spectacular scenery the whole way. Kids especially love spotting wildlife in the soft evening light.

Nice and stress free. As long as you contact us by email or phone at least 24 hours before your booking start time, you can cancel or make changes without any penalty at all. Easy as that.
