That moment when the first light hits the Ten Peaks and the turquoise water turns liquid gold, it’s the kind of sunrise that stops your heart, then quietly rewires it. Your private group gets there first, in total calm. Everything is included: upscale ride, hot drinks, expert guides who know exactly where to stand so the mountains light up just for you. No rush, no noise, just your people, the silence, and the Rockies waking up like you’ve never seen before.
After sunrise, your group continues to Lake Louise, where the morning still holds its rare tranquility. Stroll the lakeshore together, capture postcard-perfect reflections, or slide out onto the water in a canoe before the day’s crowds arrive. Your private guide is with you the whole way, and a café breakfast from Bare Bistro is waiting when you’re ready.

This one’s an easy day. You’ll do some light walking on uneven ground at each lake, nothing strenuous, but a reasonable level of mobility makes it more comfortable. If you can handle a gentle stroll, you’ll be more than fine.
Because the day is so wonderfully full, there isn’t time built in for the tea house hike. That said, if it’s something you’d really love to do, you’re more than welcome to stay on at Lake Louise and make your own way back afterwards. Just let our team know and we’ll happily walk you through the best return options.
Your group has the whole experience to yourselves, with an exclusive upscale vehicle and a dedicated local guide who knows exactly where to stand so the mountains light up just for you. You get first access to Moraine Lake and Lake Louise before the world wakes, along with expert photography guidance and hot drinks (coffee or tea) to keep you warm. There’s a picnic lunch from our favourite local spot in Banff waiting for you whenever you’re ready, and before the crowds arrive, you’re free to slide out onto the glassy water in a canoe. Your private guide is with you every step of the way, and as a 1% for the Planet member, every booking sends 1% directly to conservation.
Yes, and Moraine Lake in low cloud or light rain is honestly still stunning. Some of the most dramatic sunrise photos come from those moody mornings, when the mist hangs over the water and the peaks come and go. We run this tour rain or shine.
Even in summer, yes, one hundred percent. Pre dawn at Moraine Lake can hover near freezing in May, June, and September. Bring a warm jacket, hat, and gloves no matter what month you’re visiting. The van is heated and you’ll warm up nicely once the sun comes over the peaks, but that first hour can be seriously cold.
For private tours, complimentary hotel pickup and drop off is included from right across Banff, Canmore, and Lake Louise. Just let us know where you’re staying when you book and we’ll take care of the rest.
For private tours, just contact us by email or phone at least 7 days before your departure start time to cancel or make changes without any penalty. Nice and stress free.
