FAQs about our Lake Louise Tours
Can I visit Lake Louise and Moraine Lake in one day?
Yes, all of our guided tours combine both, typically lasting 4-8 hours.
What is the best time of year to visit Lake Louise for tours?
Late June to early September for the iconic blue water and full access; winter tours focus on snowshoeing or ice skating at Lake Louise. Moraine Lake is closed during the winter.
Do I need a Banff National Park pass to tour Lake Louise?
Yes, a Parks Canada Discovery Pass is required for entry and is not included in our tours.
How long should I spend at Lake Louise on a tour?
2-4 hours is ideal for lakeshore walks, photos, and optional canoeing; our tours often allocate 30-60 minutes there.
Can I canoe at Moraine Lake or Lake Louise?
Yes, canoe rentals are available at both lakes from mid-June to mid-September. At Moraine Lake, rentals are first-come, first-serve at the boat dock for ~160/hr. At Lake Louise, canoes are available on the left side of the lake for ~$165/hour ($105 for Fairmont Chateau guests).
Are pets allowed on your tours?
Pets are welcome exclusively on our private tours. If you’d like to bring your furry friend along, simply book a private tour to accommodate them!
What’s the best way to avoid crowds?
If you want to escape the crowds at Moraine Lake and Lake Louise, the best times to visit are in the morning on our sunrise tours or in the evening on our sunset tours.
How physically demanding are your tours?
All of our tours are designed to be slower-paced and free of strenuous activity. We stick to easy terrain, making them accessible, though a reasonable level of mobility is recommended for the best experience.
What happens incase of bad weather?
We operate rain, snow, or shine. Some of the most stunning moments occur during unexpected weather conditions. If extreme weather affects safety, we will offer rescheduling or a full refund.
Is Lake Louise suitable for families with kids on tours?
The lakeshore trail is stroller-friendly, and our kid-focused tours include optional easy hikes to viewpoints that are more fun than challenging.
What should I pack for a Lake Louise tour?
Layers for variable weather, sturdy shoes, sunscreen, water, snacks, and a camera.
Are meals or food options included on Lake Louise tours?
Upgrade to our Premium Adventure Tier and enjoy a gourmet meal included – thoughtfully prepared with options for all dietary preferences (vegan, gluten-free, allergies, you name it).
Otherwise, delicious dining is just steps away at iconic spots like the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
